CWT: pioneers of social networking tools

It is estimated that by 2010, nearly 70% of all online content will be generated by customers.

Click with Technology, the UK’s leading provider of travel websites, was quick to recognise social networking as a revolutionary tool and has since been at the forefront of this travel technology trend. 

CWT has responded to the emergence of social networking by building user generated questions, answers and review pages for Cruise.co.uk, and most recently groundbreaking video reviews for Fresh Holidays.

Since the launch of Cruise Answers in March 2007, it has been met with overwhelming success. More than 1725 questions have been asked of which 1535 have been answered with over 6129 total replies.

Most recently, CWT has released a groundbreaking technology, which enables video-based user generated content pages, similar to UTUBE.

This bespoke technology has been directly integrated in to the Fresh Holidays website. ‘Fresh TV’ allows customers to review their trip while actually on holiday via digital camera, rather than simply writing holiday reviews on their return.  

The Web2.0 revolution has proved that customers trust other customers’ opinions, they want to see people like them talking honestly about resorts and hotels.

This revolutionary technology works similar to sites such as UTUBE, which many customers will already be familiar with. Anyone who takes a digital camera on holiday can simply plug it in and follow the simple instructions.

Usual features include allowing people to embed their videos on their own site, share through a dedicated link, and tag through Digg, Reddit and Del.icio.us.
